Two Montreal bands are touring with the release of their new CDs and would like to play a show at your venue.
Jack Rustle: A 1 1/2 year old 4 piece band with members (former and present) of Blinker the Star and Licorice, Jack Rustle have been touring steadily in the Montreal area. They have played with the likes of Elevator to Hell from Moncton and Ashtray Boy from Chicago, as well as being sent to showcase in Toronto at Canada Music Week as Grand Prize Winners of a Montreal Mirror/Canada Music Week competition. Their new CD was fully recorded by themselves, partially in a church in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. It is a quirky blend of indie sounds (including banjo and theremin), with the strength lying in the song-writing that emerges from unusually open-tuned guitars. A demo-tape of the CD is included here.
Fidget: Another Montreal 4 piece with veteran members from Slaphappy 5, The Snitches, Good Cookies, Nerdy Girl, Godspeed You Black Emperor and various other side projects, Fidget have quickly built up a loyal fan-base in Montreal. Their music is a happy blend of all the influences each member brings from his/her respective other band(s) and has been described as "the country side of Lou Reed". Touring their new CD (and taking time off from their other groups) their show always promises to be a crowd pleaser.
Jack Rustle and Fidget will be touring in late November.
The date(s) they are interested in playing your venue is as follows:
